Rosh Hashanah - Tips for Setting a Beautiful Table
I love decorating my table, no matter whether I am hosting a large gathering, or keeping it small and intimate. All it takes are some subtle touches to make it look warm and inviting. With this in mind, I played around with different ideas for Rosh Hashanah and I am so excited to share them with you!
1. I always start with the color palette, and pull colors either from the challah cover, napkins or dishes.
2. Next I choose a dish to display apples & honey. I love the idea of displaying the apple dish on a charcuterie board as it adds such a beautiful presentation to the table. In addition to apples & honey, you can add cheese, crackers, pomegranates, dates and figs. I have even used bosc pears and grapes as they provide that autumn feel.
3. I love adding a little something to each plate setting as it adds interest to the table. I have added beaded charms, honey sticks with a dipper, personalized marzipan treats, place cards, napkins or even just an apple.
4. Votives add that beautiful sparkle. I place them throughout the table. (I use these star of David votives for every Jewish holiday). I also sometimes scatter apples or pomegranates.
6. Flowers always add such beauty! To accent the table, I pull together flowers in the palette of choice and finish the table with a kiddush cup, candle holders, dishes, and beautiful glasses.
